F.A.Q.
Right now CBD is the fastest growing wellness product in the UK. Here are some of the most commonly asked questions from our customers.
CBD is short for Cannabidiol. It is an all natural, organic compound extracted from the Hemp plant. Unlike its fellow cannabinoid THC, CBD contains no psychoactive properties and is used for pain relief as well as treating anxiety, sleep disorders, improving your mood and a whole variety of other benefits!
Cannabinoids are naturally occurring compounds found in the Cannabis sativa plant. There are at least 144 different cannabinoids isolated from cannabis, exhibiting varied effects. The two main cannabinoids are delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD). Whilst THC is associated with the psychoactive elements of cannabis, CBD is completely non psychoactive and is claimed by some users to have calming effects and helps in alleviating pain from the body.
CBD and THC are both compounds found in the hemp plant called cannabinoids, but they are NOT the same thing. THC is the compound that can get you ‘high’ whereas CBD is completely non-psychoactive.
When we make CBD we only use the parts of the Cannabis Stavia Plant that contain high levels of CBD such as the flowers and stems. The Hemp seeds themselves are not typically used to make CBD. Hemp seeds are however very beneficial in other ways such as for skin products and as a carrier oil.

With growing evidence suggesting its many health benefits, CBD is legal to buy and sell in the UK and throughout the EU. Furthermore, CBD does not contain the psychoactive cannabinoid THC, which is still illegal throughout the UK and most of Europe.
CBD is an all-natural compound extracted directly from the Hemp plant, which is a cousin of the marijuana plant. It can be extracted from the leaves, flowers and the biomass of the plant. Once CBD is extracted it can be added to a carrier oil such as MCT oil or coconut oil, to create the products we see today.
CBD interacts with the receptors of our body's Endocannabinoid system (ECS), transmitting signals to and from and providing a balance.
CBD is claimed by some users to work effectively for pain relief, producing positive results for many patients suffering from ailments such as multiple sclerosis and arthritis, even alleviating some cancer-related symptoms.
Continued use of CBD is claimed, by some users, to help with a variety of other issues such as sleeping disorders, anxiety, depression, addiction, skin problems and keeping the mind focused.
Balms infused with CBD can help relax the muscles post workout. CBD also comes in a variety of convenient forms such as Oral Drops, Edibles, Beverages and E-Liquids for vaping.
Although CBD may relax you and improve your mood, as well as help with a variety of ailments, it will not get you 'high' as it does not contain the psychoactive properties found in THC. So no need to worry, your mind will stay sharp and your body active!
Under no circumstances should CBD Oral Drops be vaped. The difference between E-Liquids and Oral Drops is the liquid used as a carrier. E-Liquids use a blend of VG (Vegetable Glycerene) and PG (Propylene Glycol) as a carrier, these absorb the CBD and turn into a vapour at low temperatures. Whereas when making Oral Drops we use a blend of Hemp Seed oil and MCT oil, these are great carriers for internal consumption but not suitable for burning.
When a vape coil is used to burn oils such as MCT, Coconut or Hemp it releases hydrocarbons and aldehydes. When inhaled these are compounds that can irritate and injure the lungs.
In 2019 in the USA there was an outbreak of EVALI (E-Cigarette Vaping Associated Lung Injury). When lung tissue was examined from sufferers of EVALI by the CDC they discovered Vitamin E along with MCT oil in a significant number of the samples.
So in summary always choose an E-Liquid when vaping. If you find you have accidently vaped Oral Drops you should throw away your coil and contact your nearest hospital.
Absolutely you can! CBD isn't just for people who are feeling unwell. Taking CBD as an oral supplement or vaping on a daily basis can help you in so many ways. CBD also contains a variety of vitamins and minerals such as Vitamin C, Magnesium and fatty acids all of which are essential for keeping the body fit and healthy.
Yes it can! CBD has been shown to help with addiction. So it can be used to help you kick those cravings for tobacco or other substances.
Even though CBD has attracted a lot of attention primarily because of the benefits that users have reported after using; it’s only one of more than 140 cannabinoids that scientists have discovered.

To extract all of these a number of methods can be used. The methods include cold ethanol alcohol extraction, sub and supercritical CO2 extraction and dry ice extraction as well as the olive oil extraction. The 2 main products from the extraction process are CBD Isolate (pure CBD) or CBD Distillate (Including all of the other compounds except THC.
Considering the numerous benefits that CBD has to offer, it’s only logical, that growers and processors would try to find ways to get the maximum amount of CBD and its variants from a single plant.
For new customers we recommend starting with the 1500mg Oral drops CBD. However, people with greater need might want to start with the 3000mg.
For those that use oral tongue drops take half a pipette every morning, then if needed you can take the other half in the early evening.
For those that vape we recommend vaping 1ml of our E Liquid every day.

No problem at all! You can simply lower the amount you ingest or vape.
If you use the oral drops you can even dilute the product with olive oil to your required strength.
If you would still rather a lower dosage we stock CBD of a variety of strengths from other companies so no need to worry, we'll help you find the product and strength that suits you best.
There are a few methods for taking CBD, whichever works best for you is usually personal.
You can vape CBD using our Camden Town CBD range, infused with Shotz to give a large selection of fresh flavours. Inhalation is the fastest way to absorb CBD into your bloodstream and the effects are almost immediate which can make it a useful option for many customers.
If you're into science, the reason for this quick effect is when you inhale CBD the lungs offer a large surface area for absorption. CBD calmly passes through the alveoli on your lungs as you breathe and enters the bloodstream and from there it can travel quickly through the body!
Otherwise you can use our Oral Drops range, again infused with Shotz to give you a wide selection of your favourite flavours! This is a sublingual CBD product meaning you hold a drop under your tongue for a minute before swallowing. This method allows the mucus membranes of the mouth to absorb CBD, thus bypassing the digestive system and metabolism in the liver entirely. Since no enzymes break the CBD molecules down and it does not travel through the stomach, CBD is able to reach the bloodstream faster.
You can also ingest CBD using one of our many edibles on offer.
Unfortunately not all sellers of CBD can be fully trusted, and CBD can be hit or miss depending on where it comes from. However, you have nothing to worry about as Camden Town CBD and CBD Eaze's products are all fully certified with their certificates. So you can feel comfortable buying our high quality range at some of the most competitive prices around!
All Camden Town CBD products are individually batch tested giving you an assurance of the exact amount of CBD as well a a guarantee of how much THC is in the product. Click here to see our reports.
